Easiest Ever Cinnamon Bread Pudding

Bread pudding is always a favorite when it is cold!  This is one of the easiest recipes you will find!
Cinnamon Bread Pudding:
2 Pans of our ready made cinnamon rolls-cut into small pieces
4 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1/2 c. milk

In a large mixing bowl, combine 4 eggs, evaporated milk, and milk.
Cut the cinnamon rolls in small pieces and place in the bowl--even the sugar and the icing left over from the pan!

Place the mixture into the refrigerator and let soak for at least an hour.
*You could even let it soak overnight and bake the next day.

Butter a 9x11 casserole pan and pour in bread mixture.  You could place it in a smaller pan if you like.  Whatever you have!

Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes (or until golden brown and puffy!)

*You can also cook this mixture in small individual ramekins and place in a water bath to prevent drying of the edges.

Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar!

Delicious!

Making biscuits-It isn't as hard as you may think!

Saturday morning I decided to get up and make biscuits!  I haven't made them in a long time and forgot just how easy they are.
Mom's Buttermilk Biscuits:
2c. Self-Rising Flour
1/4c. Crisco shortening-Butter flavored is excellent
3/4c. Buttermilk

Cut the shortening into the flour with a pastry cutter or a regular fork until the shortening forms little beads in the flour.  (Or the flour has a crumbly texture).  Add the buttermilk and stir gently until it is incorporated.

Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and flatten to about a 1" inch thickness.  Do not knead the dough as you would bread!  It makes a rubber biscuit!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and cut the biscuits with a cutter.  Continue until you have used all the dough.

Ready for the oven on my Granny's cookie sheet!

Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.  We don't currently sell these but after eating a couple with some homemade strawberry butter, I will reconsider!

Isabelle loved them too!

Happy New Year!

We are looking forward to exciting times in 2013!  Our family has so much to be thankful for.  I saw a story about Jayden Lamb on the Sunday Morning Show just after Christmas that moved me to commit to paying it forward in 2013.  Imagine the change we could make in our community if we did something small just once a week!  It also brought to mind a rough patch our family went through when I was a child.  There was a time when we didn't have enough food. Hard to believe since you know our family's love for good food!  A local butcher would stop by our home with baked goods from the grocery where he worked.  I have no idea how he got word of our need but God knew because my Mom quietly prayed.  He changes circumstances.

Attached is a picture of our wonderful dough that makes many of our yummy items!  Thank you Great Grandpa for passing along the tradition!

May each of you have a blessed and prosperous year!

Hi Everyone!
We had a great time at our first attendance of the Winter Market in Clarksville, Tn. at the Smith-Trahern Mansion!  Our cinnamon rolls and rolls were very popular and we are excited to share what our family has enjoyed for many years.  Come out and visit us at the next Winter Market!  We would love to meet you!
The Winter Market is held at the Smith-Trahern Mansion in Clarksville, Tn. on Fridays from 9:30-1:30pm.
We have also spoken with the Nashville Farmer's Market.  Hopefully in the next few weeks, we will be there also!  We feel very blessed to having these doors opening and we appreciate everyone who supports us!

Welcome Everyone!
We are so glad you are here!  Our family has talked about sharing our love for food and desserts for many years.  Today would have been my mom's 63rd birthday so we dedicate this site to her.  My son and I finally decided to step out on faith and start on a new venture!  We welcome you to the site and look forward to meeting many people!  In addition to selling our products, we will be sharing recipes and experiences related to food!  As my Granny said "Food is just one of the joys in life".
